By using Melt, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Nature of the App

Melt is a self-help wellness tool designed to help users manage freeze states through evidence-based exercises. Melt is:

Not a medical product. Melt is not a medical device, diagnostic tool, or registered health application.
Not a substitute for professional care. Melt does not provide therapy, counseling, medical advice, or psychiatric treatment.
Not guaranteed to work. While our exercises are based on published neuroscience research, individual results may vary. We make no guarantees regarding the effectiveness of any specific exercise.

If you regularly experience freeze states, dissociation, or mental health challenges, we strongly encourage you to seek professional support from a licensed therapist or healthcare provider.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Melt. If you are under 18, you should have the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly collect data from users of any age (see our Privacy Policy).

3. In-App Purchases

Melt Pro is available as a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. By purchasing Melt Pro, you receive:

A permanent, non-expiring license to all Pro features on the device linked to your Apple ID.
Access to all current and future Pro features included in the Melt Pro tier.

Additional purchases (Sound Packs, Ember Skins, Tips) are separate, non-consumable or consumable in-app purchases handled by Apple.

Pricing: All prices are displayed in the App Store before purchase. Prices may vary by region and are set by Apple based on their pricing tiers.

No subscription: Melt Pro is a one-time purchase. You will never be charged a recurring fee for Melt Pro.

4. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information and cannot process refunds directly. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.

5. Intellectual Property

All content within Melt — including but not limited to the intervention texts, the "Ember" character, UI design, and branding — is the intellectual property of the Melt team. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without written permission.

6. User-Created Content

Melt Pro allows you to create custom interventions. These are stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership of any content you create. We have no access to your custom interventions.

7. Data & Privacy

Melt collects zero personal data. All information (sessions, ratings, preferences) is stored locally on your device and never transmitted. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

Melt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that:

The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or bug-free.
Any specific exercise will produce a desired result.
The app will be compatible with all devices or operating system versions.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Melt team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app. This includes, but is not limited to, any emotional distress, health outcomes, or financial losses related to app usage.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Melt after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
